On “World Theatre Day”, 27 March 2024, The Website Development Club of Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences (USCS) organized Website Development Competition for the students of BCA, MCA, and BSc (IT) based on the theme “World Theatre Day, Celebrating the Magic of Arts”.
The event was graced by the presence of Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma, Dean, Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences, Mr Abhishek Pathak, Head of Academic and Non- Academic events, and Mr. Ashish Bhatt, Head - Website Development Club.
Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma, Dean USCS addressed all the participants and signified how this competition serves as a testament to our commitment to nurturing talent, fostering creativity, and preparing the students for the dynamic landscape of the digital world. She also expressed the importance of theatre day and how this day aims to promote the art of theatre and its cultural significance worldwide.
A total of 28 teams comprising of 2 students in each team participated in the event. The Jury members of the event were Dr Amarjeet Rawat, Ms Ruby Faizan and Mr Nitin Sharma, Assistant Professors Uttaranchal University.
The winners of the competition were-
1st Position – Avinash Khanduri & Sanchita Dhyani (BCA IV)
2nd Position –Vivek Chauhan (MCA II)
3rd Position- Minakshi Kumari Pathak (MCA II), Sakshi (BSc IT IV)
All the participants & teams received appreciation certificates in recognition of their exceptional performances.
Under the guidance of Dr Sameer Dev Sharma, HoD, USCS, the seamless event was coordinated by Mr Ashish Bhatt, Ms Divya Rawat and Ms Upasana Rana with the support of dedicated student volunteers and technical staff.
