Law College Dehradun organised 8th National Moot Court Competition

Law College Dehradun proudly organised its 8 National Moot Court Competition 2024 from 29th March to 31st March 2024 under the aegis of Moot Court Society. The event witnessed the participation of 24 teams from different colleges across the country, engaging in a scholarly exploration of legal prowess. The Inaugural Ceremony featured the esteemed presence of Mr R Venkataramani, Attorney General for India, along with our respected Chancellor, Mr Jitender Joshi, Vice Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Pro Chancellor, Ms Ankita Joshi, Pro Vice- Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Executive Director, Prof (Dr) Abhishek Joshi, Principal, Law College Dehradun, Prof (Dr) Poonam Rawat and, Head of Law, Dr Radhey Shyam Jha. 

The Final Rounds were adjudicated by a constitutional bench constituting Hon'ble Mr. Justice Rajesh Tandon, Nainital High Court, Mr Jitendra Mohan Sharma, Senior Advocate, 

Supreme Court, Mr. Abhishek Anand, Co-Founder, Sarvada Legal, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice- Chancellor, Uttaranchal University and Dean, LCD 

The competition concluded with the Valedictory Ceremony which was elevated by the gracious presence of the Chief Guest Hon'ble Mr Justice Rajesh Tandon, Nainital High Court, and the guest of honours, Mr Jitendra Mohan Sharma, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court, Mr Abhishek Anand, Co-Founder, Sarvada Legal, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Uttaranchal University and Dean, LCD along with the Executive Director of Uttaranchal University Mr Abhishek Joshi, 

Further, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna declared the results of the final round and the results are as follows: 

 Winner: Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab 

 Runner Up: Symbiosis Law School, Pune 

Best Memorial: Symbiosis Law School, Pune 

Best Researcher: Kriti Kumari, Central University of South Bihar 

Best Oralist (Male): Mr Parth, University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University 

Best Oralist (Female): Ms Laadli Singhania from Symbiosis Law School, Pune
