A two days Second International Conference on “Computational & Mathematical Methods in Applied Sciences (ICCMAS-2024) was organized by School of Applied and Life Sciences, Uttaranchal University from 29-30 March 2024. The conference was inaugurated by Shri Jitender Joshi, Chancellor, Ms Ankita Joshi, Pro Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice-Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Durgesh Pant, Director General UCOST Dehradun and Dr Gaurav Sharma, ZSI Dehradun, Prof (Dr) Ajay Singh, Dean SALS and Convenor of the conference, Prof (Dr) Ajay Singh shared the objectives of the conference and mentioned how the mathematical and computational science has revolutionized every aspect of life. Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi emphasized on the importance of multidisciplinary research to provide the solution to scientific problems and several issues concerned to society and environment. Dr Gaurav Sharma, the Guest of Honour in his talk emphasized how innovations and advancement in computational and biological science have contributed to present era of technology. Dr Durgesh Pant, the Chief Guest of the conference, underscored the imperative of democratizing technological access, particularly for marginalized communities, reflecting his unwavering dedication to societal progress through scientific advancement.
The Keynote speakers of international repute, including Prof (Dr) Madhu Jain, IIT Roorkee, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Pandey, IIT (BHU) Varanasi, and Prof (Dr) A K Mallik, UP Rajarshi Tandon Open University, Prof A K Vashistha, Kurukshetra University, Prof (Dr) Shankar Lal, HNB Garhwal university graced the stage and shared their erudition and insights with the eager audience. Their scholarly discourse set the tone for enriching deliberations and collaborative endeavours throughout the conference. Technical session was followed by oral and poster presentation. More than 100 participants presented their research work in oral and poster presentations.
