Uttaranchal Institute of Technology celebrated Teachers’ Day on 5 September 2024 with great pomp and show under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Sumit Chaudhary, Director, UIT. The program started at 2:30 pm on the ground floor of UIT building with ceremonious lamp lighting and reciting the university anthem. Ziya Yadav, BTech 3rd year student presented a small talk on the importance of teachers in everyone’s life. The Director, UIT addressed the gathering and gave his best wishes to all the faculty members and also congratulated the students for organizing such an interesting program. He emphasized the pivotal role teachers play in nurturing young minds and building the nation. He also highlighted the timeless wisdom of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose birthday is celebrated as Teacher’s Day and encouraged students to take inspiration from his teachings.
Anjana, a student from BTech 2nd year presented a rap song on the occasion. Two students gave a dance performance. Students of cultural club and Vedic club, UIT had prepared many interesting activities and games for teachers where some teachers got titles and prizes too.
The entire five-story UIT building resonated with the cheers of students celebrating their teachers. The event concluded with a joyful cake-cutting ceremony and group photographs, capturing the spirit of the occasion. The celebration fostered a sense of unity and mutual respect, leaving both students and teachers with lasting memories of the special day.
