The School of Agriculture (SOA) celebrated Teacher’s Day on 05 September 2024, with great enthusiasm and reverence for the teaching fraternity. The day was to remember Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and his teachings. Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan (1888–1975) was an eminent Indian philosopher, scholar, and statesman, best known as the second President of India (1962–1967) and the first Vice-President (1952–1962). He was born on 5th September 1888, in a small village in Tamil Nadu. Radhakrishnan was a brilliant student and went on to become one of India’s most respected academics and diplomats. The event started at 2:30 pm when students, teachers, and staff gathered to honour their mentors. The celebration began with a heartfelt speech by Prof (Dr) Mahipal Singh, Director SOA; highlighting the importance of teachers in shaping society and the future of students. This was followed by a cultural program organized by students. Dance performances, songs, and skits showcased the admiration and gratitude students hold for their teachers. Activities were planned for faculty fraternity and winners were awarded too. Activities brought happiness and excitement among the faculty members. The program successfully fostered a deeper bond between students and teachers, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and joy. Dr Rajendra Prasad, HoD SOA appreciated the effort of everyone and congratulated them to make the day unforgettable for everyone!
