School of Agriculture Uttaranchal University established a Plant Selling counter by the students of Agriculture on 28 March 2023 on the University Campus. This establishment aimed to develop skills among the students in the Marketing of Nursery plants and planting materials.
The event was important for developing on site experiences that may be useful in starting the nursery- related entrepreneurship by students of agriculture in the future Nursery plants that have prepared the agriculture students were targeted on current demands of the local people. Through this initiative of SOA, the students acclimatised themselves in logistics and marketing of the nursery plants. They developed communication skills to satisfy the customers’ demand and many other experiences during selling of plant materials.
