An educational visit of M Sc Biotechnology students to Patanjali Herbal Garden was organized on 28 March 2024 by School of Applied and Life Sciences, Uttaranchal University. The students acquired valuable knowledge about medicinal and aromatic plants of Himalayan biodiversity, along with valuable input about traditional medicine system. The visit also provided exposure to cultivation practices and methods to propagate medicinal plants. Case study about habit, habitat, morphology and medicinal properties of Ashwagandha, Nirgundi, Kalmegh, Kasani and other medicinal plants was also conducted by students. The visit proved to be extremely beneficial for the students to enhance their knowledge and understanding about traditional medicinal system. The students were accompanied by Dr Nishesh Sharma and Dr Himani Badoni.
