The School of Agriculture at Uttaranchal University organized an Educational Tour to Jaipur from March 1 to 5, 2024, for B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture Semester – VI students. The objective was to deepen their understanding of India's cultural heritage and its ties to agriculture. Jaipur, renowned for its forts, palaces, and vibrant culture, provided an immersive learning environment. Upon arrival, students received a warm welcome and an orientation session by Dr. Atin Kumar, Mr. Sunil Prakash, and Ms. Diksha Nautiyal, covering the itinerary and safety guidelines. The tour began with visits to Jal Mahal and Hawa Mahal, showcasing traditional water management and architectural innovations relevant to agriculture. At Amer Fort, students learned about Rajput architecture's grandeur and strategic design. Jantar Mantar provided insights into ancient Indian astronomy, while Albert Museum and City Palace deepened their understanding of Rajasthan's cultural evolution and architectural heritage. The tour concluded with a reflective session, where students shared experiences and insights. It offered a holistic learning experience, combining history with agricultural relevance. These tours not only expand knowledge but also foster cultural appreciation and camaraderie, preparing students for the challenges ahead.
