The School of Agriculture, Uttaranchal University organized a training session on 13 February 2024, on Plant Propagation through Cutting, Budding, and Grafting Techniques. These are the fundamental techniques of Horticulture and a student enrolled in Agriculture degree programme must have skills related to this and thus this event was aimed to develop suitable proficiency among the students for the above propagation techniques. The subject expert Dr Rajat Singh, Assistant Professor, SOA demonstrated the methods for asexual propagation medicinal and horticultural plants in Navgrah Vatika of the university.
The student participants showed their keen interest on above methods and made practise for the same. They had prepared more than 100 new plants using above techniques.
