Skill Development Programme On ‘Quality Manuscript Writing Skills’

 

Under the auspices of the Cultural Committee of the School of Agriculture (SOA), Uttaranchal University, a Skill Development Programme on Quality Manuscript Writing Skills was organized for both undergraduate and postgraduate students of Agriculture on February 11, 2023. The session commenced at 11:00 am with an introductory speech delivered by Prof (Dr) M P Singh. Subsequently, Dr Rajendra Prasad, HoD of SOA, elucidated the objectives, scope, and evaluative parameters of manuscript writing, stressing the importance of professionalism, completeness, structure, and accuracy in conveying scientific results ethically. 

Dr Mohsin Ikram further emphasized the intricate yet rewarding nature of scientific manuscript writing, highlighting its significance in sharing original ideas and discoveries with both the scientific community and the general populace. He underscored the meticulous research process preceding manuscript drafting and the necessity for logical presentation and factual accuracy. 

A Doubt Clearing Session concluded the event, addressing queries related to manuscript writing. The Dean and Head of the Department lauded the initiative and encouraged the organizers to plan similar events in the future, recognizing the value of enhancing students' skills in scientific communication.
