Department of Mechanical Engineering, Uttaranchal Institute of Technology, along with Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) Uttaranchal University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Wheels India Limited on 25 October 2023. Wheels India Limited is a conglomerate of TSF Group which is among the world’s largest manufacturers of steel, aluminum, wire and alloy wheels, since the establishment of the organization in 1960.
The MoU was signed by Prof (Dr) S D Pandey, Dean-UIT & Mr Iqbal Singh Sawhney, Head, CRC on behalf of Uttaranchal University and Mr Manoj Tiwari, DGM, HR & Admin on behalf of Wheels India Limited. Shri Jitender Joshi Chancellor, Uttaranchal University & Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice- Chancellor graced the event with their benign presence.
This MoU focuses on strategic industrial training for the students through industrial visits and placement opportunities to enhance the employability and to give adequate exposure to industrial practice by conducting workshops and seminars followed by their contribution in Academic Curriculum design which will focus on Industry needs on this fast-changing technological era.
The other dignitaries present on this occasion were Dr Sanjeev Kumar Joshi, Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Mr Awadhesh Chandramauli, Head, Department of Civil Engineering, Mr Parmjit Singh, Senior Manager, CRC and Mr Vivek John, Assistant Professor, ME, UIT.
