The first ever on-campus book exhibition was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chancellor Shri Jitender Joshi and other dignitaries Prof (Dr) Satbir Singh Sehgal, Vice President, Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the university on the 09 October 2023 at 11:00 AM. This was a stupendous success with over 20 publishers from distinct parts of the country exhibiting their publications on the lush greens of the Auditorium Grounds of the University. An innovative initiative by Dr Ramveer Tanwar, University Librarian the book stalls had a continuous stream of over 3000 visitors including students from various disciplines, faculty members, and staff of the University.
The event was focused on Book Exhibition and aimed to provide a platform for Faculty, Research Scholars, and Students to expand their knowledge and awareness about the latest titles, advancements, and developments in the diversified field.
In the exhibition, the launch of the book “Uljhe Rishte” by a student of Food Technology, Ms Ayushi Bhadhuri was the highlight of the inaugural. Top Management and Senior Professors of the University namely, Prof (Dr) Ajay Singh, Dean SALS (School of Applied & Life Sciences), Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma, Dean USCS (Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences), Dr Amit Bhatt, Campus Director and all library Staff were also present on the occasion.
