Law College Dehradun faculty of Uttaranchal University under the aegis of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre, organized a National Workshop on Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code under the theme Cultivating Innovation: The Contribution of IBC in fostering Indian Entrepreneurial Culture on 30th of September 2023. The event was a resounding success, witnessing the active participation of 105 students and all the teaching faculty members.
The keynote speaker for the event was Advocate on Record Ms. Amrita Sarkar, who has astounding experience in fields of Insolvency and Bankruptcy laws, Arbitration laws, SARFAESI Act, Banking Laws etc. She has 12 years’ experience as a practicing advocate in NCLAT and NCLT as well. The event was moderated by executive member Hitesh Bisht. Ms. Amrita Sarkar’s in the session delved into the fundamentals of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. The workshop revolved around the concepts of Financial Creditors, Operational Creditors, CIRP Proceeding, Committee of Creditors, the difference between Insolvency and Bankruptcy, the relation with SARFAESI ACT, COMPANY ACT etc.
Finally, the workshop concluded with a Question-and-Answer Session wherein Ms. Sarkar cleared the doubts of the participants before the presentation of Memento to Keynote Speaker by Director Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna Sir. Convenor Saakshya Garkoti's vote of appreciation brought the ceremony to a close.
