An international conference on “Synergetic Innovations & Biotechnological Advancements for Sustainable Development” was organized by SALS on September 29–30, 2023. More than 200 delegates, including faculty members, researchers, and students, attended the conference.  The conference was inaugurated by the distinguished Vice President, Professor S.S. Sehgal, Vice Chancellor, Professor Dharam Buddhi, PVC, Professor Rajesh Bhahuguna, Convenor and Dean of SALS, Professor Ajay Singh, and Dr Craig McGill, Senior Research Officer, Massey University, New Zealand.  The conference was structured into five technical sessions that included participant oral and poster presentations as well as invited talks. Several notable keynote speakers were featured, including Dr Craig McGill, Senior Research Officer, Massey University, New Zealand, who spoke on improving seed quality; Dr Rajendra Prasad, Principal Scientist, Division of Plant Breeding and Genetics, ICAR-IARI New Delhi; Dr Sajid Khan, Dept. of Biochemistry, AMU; Dr Saheem Ahmad, College of Applied Medical Science, University of Hail (Saudi Arabia); and others who spoke on PGPR. The Best Poster Presentation Award was conferred on K.  Harshita (Chandigarh University), Amritanshu (CCS University), Akanksha Gupta (BHU), Divyesh, and Siddharatha (Uttaranchal University). The Best Oral Presentation Awards were won by Dr. Deepanshu Rana (SBS University), Mr. Sudhanshu (SGRR University), and Ms. Hemlata (Uttaranchal University). The conference was successful in achieving its goal by giving participants a forum to discuss how biotechnological approaches can be used to address sustainable development issues. After review, accepted papers will be published in the Scopus-indexed journals Journal of Applied Biology and Biotechnology and Plant Science Today (SCI).  The conference was successfully run thanks in large part to the efforts of Dr. Nishesh Sharma, who served as the organizing secretary; Drs. Indra Rautela and Sonika Kalia, who served as the masters of ceremonies;  and other faculty members who played key roles in the successful conduct of the conference.
