An educational visit to Dehradun Zoo was organized by School of Applied Life Sciences (SALS) on 9 September 2023, for students of M Sc Zoology and B Sc CBZ. The visit was conducted as a part of curriculum of UG and PG program with an objective to provide an exposure to diverse species of Aves, Pisces, Reptiles and other animals. Students comprehended how different species of birds and fishes are recognized based upon their characteristic features. Along with exploring their habit and habitat, students also understood the global concern pertaining to conservation of rare and endangered animal species.
The visit proved to be extremely informative and an opportunity for students to observe animal diversity. The visit was coordinated by Dr Dhyal Singh and Dr Monika Singh
