An interactive session was organised by the Women Cell, School of Liberal Arts on 12th September 2023 in the seminar hall at 2:30pm.  


The session aimed to bring together and upheld the collective spirit of the female fraternity. With an objective to create a platform that is attentive and supportive of the needs of women students, the interactive session also tended to develop a familiarity among the active members of the Women Cell, so that the students have the know-how for any resolution they can seek in cases pertaining to any sort of harassment and violation of law pertaining to their safety. The vision of their interactive session was also to acquaint students about the Women Cell functioning at the university level.  


The program started with the ceremonious ‘Kulgeet’ of the university. Ritika, comparer of the program started her address by briefing about Women Cell, its constitutional basis, objectives and SoP also informing the freshers about the university and SLA office bearers of the Women Cell. Glimpses of the activities conducted last year under Women Cell were displayed. Aditi, BA (H) English 2 year presented a motivational poem about her inspiration Madam Curie and Apporva, BA (H) English 2year presented a poem on a recent women harassment related social issue.  


Dr Geeta and Mr Jageshwar Ray, members of Women Cell shared their thoughts with the students on issues of women in society. A vote of thanks was presented by Ms Paridhi Joshi, member secretary of Women Cell, 2023-24. The event was coordinated by Ms Paridhi Joshi under the guidance of Dean SLA Prof. (Dr.) Shravan Kumar.
