A Training Session on EBSCO Research Database

We are delighted to share that the Uttaranchal Institute of Management (UIM) at Uttaranchal University, Dehradun, organized a Training Session on the "EBSCO Research Database" in collaboration with the Knowledge Resource Centre (KRC) on September 9, 2023, at the UIM seminar hall. Mr. Abhinash Chaudhary, the Training Manager from EBSCO Information Services, New Delhi, served as the resource person for the session. 


EBSCO Information Services is a leading provider of research databases, e-books, journals, magazines, and other content for academic institutions, libraries, corporations, and various organizations. They offer a comprehensive suite of information resources to support research, education, and decision-making processes. 


During the session, Mr. Abhinash Chaudhary shared how researchers can explore various tools and techniques to access EBSCO's e-resource databases. He also provided invaluable insights, practical knowledge, and hands-on practice to the attendees. 


Dr. Ramveer Tanwar, Chief Librarian, on behalf of the university, extended a warm welcome to our esteemed guests, including Prof. (Dr.) Dharam Buddhi, Vice-Chancellor of Uttaranchal University, Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Dean of the Uttaranchal Institute of Management, and Guest speaker Mr. Abinash Chaudhary, Training Manager at EBSCO, along with research scholars and faculty members. He briefed the gathering about the available e-resources in the library and emphasized the importance of maximizing their utilization. 


Prof. (Dr.) Dharam Buddhi, the Honourable Vice-Chancellor of Uttaranchal University, addressed the audience and motivated them to prioritize research for academic rigor and growth while making the most of the subscribed e-resources. 


Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Dean of the Uttaranchal Institute of Management, also addressed the audience and encouraged them to expedite and maximize their research output by using various research tools and e-resources. 


The session witnessed the participation of more than 33 faculty members and was highly interactive and informative. 


Dr. Rekha Verma, Associate Professor at UIM, moderated the session, and in conclusion, Dr. Rakhi Sharma, Assistant Librarian, proposed a vote of thanks.
