Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University conducted Poster & Collage Making Competition on the theme of "Anti-Ragging Awareness" on 17 August 2023. The event aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of ragging as a part of the Anti-Ragging Week from 12th August to 18th August 2023. This initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of eradicating ragging and promoting a culture of respect, understanding, and empathy among our students.
Participants from MBA, BBA, and B.Com (Hons.) demonstrated their creativity and commitment to the cause through their thought-provoking posters and collage. The event was organized by the Anti ragging Committee and garnered enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty members.
The posters displayed a wide range of creative expressions, highlighting the message of zero tolerance towards ragging. The posters conveyed the emotional and psychological toll that ragging can have on victims, promoting empathy and understanding among the audience.
A panel of esteemed judges, comprising Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Dean, UIM, Dr. Tilottama Singh, HoD ,UIM and faculty members evaluated the posters and collage based on criteria such as creativity, relevance to the theme, and effectiveness in conveying the anti-ragging message.
The event was successfully planned and executed by ‘Anti Ragging Committee, UIM’ headed by Dr. Megha Aggarwal, Associate Professor, UIM, along with Dr. Babita Rawat, Associate Professor, UIM, Mr. Vasim Ahmad, Assistant Professor, UIM, Mr. Rajesh Pant, Assistant Professor, UIM, and Mr. Sanjay Singh Chauhan, Assistant Professor, UIM, Ms. Shruti Sharma, President, Anti Ragging Committee, UIM, Mr. Varun Kulshreshta, Vice President, Anti Ragging Committee, UIM and other student volunteers.
