Law College Dehradun, Faculty of Uttaranchal University organized seven-day national faculty development programme on “Multidimensional Approach to Legal Education in Post NEP Era” from 22 to 29th of July. It was a privilege to have four Vice Chancellors and very senior professors for the seven-day sessions commencing with renowned professor of law and Vice Chancellor of India International University of Legal Education and Research, South Goa, Prof. Dr. Rambhatla Venkat Rao who spoke on Changing Dimensions of Legal Education in the 21st Century in the inaugural session on the 22nd of July at the seminar hall of Law College Dehradun. The 2nd day had Prof. Dr. Jeet Singh Mann, Professor at NLU Delhi share his views on Understanding Empirical Research in Law. We had Professor Akhilendra Kumar Pandey from BHU who deliberated on the Challenges in Administration of Criminal Justice System: Indian Perspective, Prof. Afzal Wani Senior retired Professor of Guru Gobind Indraprastha University, shared his perspective on Environmental Social Governance, Prof. R.K.Mudgal, Vice Chancellor of D.Y.Patil Deemed University on IPR – emerging trends and challenges, Prof. Dr. Ashok.R.Patil Vice Chancellor of NLU Ranchi deliberating on E-Consumer Protection: Challenges and Way Forward and we had Prof. Yogesh Pratap Singh, Vice Chancellor NLU Tripura, discuss New Approaches to Researching Judicial Process in India and Professor S.D.Sharma of Kumaun University gave us a broad overview on the central theme of the FDP. He while explaining the NEP incorporated the aspects of legal education to ensure a multi-dimensional learning curve with crucial amendments to the curriculum and pedagogy of legal learning.
The FDP had 105 registered participants from 31 different universities including faculty members of Uttaranchal University. The FDP concluded on a very high note with the participation of all the registered members.
