Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences Celebrates World Nature Conservation Day

As part of the worldwide efforts to promote Nature Conservation, a tree plantation activity was organized by the Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences on the occasion of World Nature Conservation Day on 28 July 2023.  


Neem sapling was planted by esteemed Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma, Dean, Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences. Mr Sameer Dev Sharma, MCA & B Sc IT, Program Co-ordinator, Dr Monisha Awasthi, BCA Program Co-ordinator, Mrs Babita Rani Radwal, Head, Prakriti Club, Mrs Shivani Sisodia, and other faculty members were also present on the occasion.  


All the present members on this occasion planted a Neem Tree, which has numerous medicinal and environmental advantages.  By planting these trees, the community not only contributed to a greener environment but also demonstrated their commitment to protecting the planet for future generations. Such initiatives are essential in creating a sustainable and ecologically balanced world. With continued efforts and similar activities, we can make a significant positive impact on our environment and promote a more harmonious coexistence with nature. 


The purpose of this event was to raise awareness about environment conservation, sustainability, and the significance of preserving our natural resources for the well-being of present and future generations. Through engaging activities and educational initiatives, we seek to inspire students, faculty, and staff to become active participants in the conservation movement.
