Division of Research & Innovation organized a 10 days workshop for the students of SALS, UIT,UIM, UIPS, SoA and PhD Scholars of Uttaranchal University between 13th February to 10th March 2023. The purpose of the workshop was to prepare the students for proper IPR document compilation as per the guidelines as well as to hone their technical and analytical skills. The workshop was headed by Prof (Dr.) Rajesh Singh, Director, Division of Research & Innovation, Uttaranchal University, Prof (Dr.) Anita Gehlot, HoD, Division of Research & Innovation and Dr. Shaik Vaseem Akram with the assistance and coordination of Dr. V.K Srivastava, SALS, as well as trained as to how to contribute their productive ideas in an effective manner. The following key points are the highlights of the event:
- Participants gained a better understanding of the various types of IPR, including patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets.
- Attendees became aware of their rights as creators, inventors, and innovators, and learned how to protect their intellectual property.
- The event encouraged participants to innovate and create, knowing that their intellectual property could be protected, fostering a culture of innovation.
- Participants learned about the legal requirements and procedures for obtaining patents, trademarks, and copyrights, ensuring compliance with IPR laws.
