Branding is the process of creating a distinct identity for a business in the mind of your target audience and consumers. Personal branding is about taking responsibility over how you present yourself. If you strive to position yourself as an expert or become an influencer within your niche, self-branding can help increase your reputation as a leader. To move along with this vision, there is a need to train, reorient and stimulate students on personal branding. Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University, organized one-week workshop on the theme: “Personal Branding via LinkedIn”. This program was an effort to enrich the knowledge of participants related to strategies that can implemented to grow an individual as a personal brand on LinkedIn.
Dr.Yuvika Gupta talked about different aspects related to the personal branding. She discussed in detail the different ways in which students can make their profile stand out and look professional. Further, she highlighted the importance of active participant and connecting with the right people on professional platform like LinkedIn. He encouraged the students to create a captivating profile, complete their about section, providing details of about their skills, qualifications, so that the job providers can reach them directly.
Overall, the session was very insightful and interactive which captured the audience attention and kept them engaged.
