The Globe Club of Uttaranchal Institute of Management (UIM), Uttaranchal University, organized a seminar on “The Art of Mind Control and Gita Sutra” on 18 September 2026 at the UIM Seminar Hall. The seminar aimed to promote mental well-being, self-discipline, emotional resilience, and value-based living by drawing practical insights from the timeless teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.
The event was organized under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Director, UIM. The keynote session was delivered by Mr. Sanjay Singh, Educationist, Entrepreneur, Founder and CEO of Rancike Learning, Founder of Gita Values, and an IIT Roorkee alumnus and Mr. Suraj Singh Chauhan is a committed educator and devoted proponent of the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, with a strong focus on student development and academic excellence. Over the years, he has dedicated himself to sharing the timeless wisdom and values of the Bhagavad Gita, among the youth, inspiring them to embrace its teachings in their personal, academic and professional lives.
The speakers emphasized the importance of mastering one's thoughts, cultivating inner transformation, strengthening mental fitness, understanding the relationship between the mind and intelligence, managing stress and anxiety, developing positive habits, and embracing a constructive outlook towards life. They explained how meditation, self-awareness, and disciplined thinking empower individuals to overcome distractions, enhance decision-making, and achieve lasting personal and professional success.
The event was coordinated by Professor (Dr.) Babita Rawat, Professor, UIM along with faculty coordinators Dr. Mithil Kosarkar, Assistant Professor, UIM; Dr. Namita, Assistant Professor, UIM; Dr. Jyoti, Assistant Professor, UIM; Ms. Richa, Assistant Professor, UIM; Mr. Rohit Dhiman, Assistant Professor, UIM and Mr. Parichay Durga, Assistant Professor, UIM. Their collective efforts ensured the seamless execution of the seminar and enthusiastic student participation.
