The Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Uttaranchal University, successfully organized an industrial visit to Himalaya Wellness Company on 05th August 2026.
During the visit, the students gained valuable exposure to various industrial processes associated with the manufacturing and quality assurance of herbal and wellness products. They developed an understanding of the industrial work environment, regulatory requirements, quality standards, and professional practices followed in the organization. The visit provided students with practical insights into the manufacturing processes and quality assurance practices adopted for herbal formulations, thereby enhancing their understanding of the connection between theoretical concepts and their real-world industrial applications.
The students also explored the Herbal Garden, which features a wide variety of medicinal plants used in herbal formulations. This experience helped them understand the importance of medicinal plants and their role in the development of herbal and wellness products. In addition, the Himalaya Museum showcased the rich history, achievements, product innovations, and growth of the company, providing students with a deeper understanding of Himalaya’s contribution to the field of herbal medicine and wellness.
A memorable part of the industrial visit was the motivational interaction with Dr. S. Farooq, President, Himalaya Wellness Company, who encouraged the students to strive for excellence in their academic and professional careers. His inspiring message emphasized the importance of dedication, creativity, continuous learning, and maintaining a clear focus on one's goals. The interaction motivated the students to develop a positive professional attitude and pursue meaningful career opportunities in the industry.
