The Anti-Ragging Committee of Uttaranchal Institute of Technology (UIT) organized an awareness rally to emphasize the importance of maintaining a ragging-free environment within the campus. The rally highlighted the consequences faced by both victims and perpetrators, urging students to stand united against such practices. The committee members addressed the audience, explaining the stringent anti-ragging laws and the support systems available for victims. The Director UIT, Prof (Dr)Sumit Chaudhary emphasized the institute's zero-tolerance policy towards ragging and encouraged students to foster a culture of respect and camaraderie. The rally was coordinated by Prof (Dr) S.K.Shah, HoD, BTech First Year.
The program was included in the annual orientation cum induction program, Deeksharambh’2026, a cornerstone event that welcomed the new batch of students into the vibrant academic community of Uttaranchal University. The program was held on 22nd August ,2026 in the presence of various faculty members of UIT.
