The Cultural Club of Uttaranchal Institute of Technology (UIT), Uttaranchal University, organized a vibrant Teachers’ Day celebration on September 3, 2026, to honour the invaluable contribution of teachers and commemorate the birth anniversary of the eminent teacher-scholar and former President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

The celebration commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting by Prof. Dr Sumit Chaudhary, Director, UIT, along with all the respected Heads of Departments, symbolising the light of knowledge and the guiding role of teachers in shaping students’ lives.

The Cultural Club added colour and enthusiasm to the occasion through a series of student performances. Students presented various dance performances, melodious singing performances, and an entertaining mimicry act, expressing their gratitude and appreciation for their teachers. The performances created a joyful and festive atmosphere across the celebration.

The event also featured fun-filled games for faculty members, encouraging active participation and creating memorable moments of interaction between teachers and students. A special Faculty Appreciation and Felicitation Ceremony was organized to acknowledge the dedication and valuable contributions of faculty members. The celebrations further included a lively ramp walk by faculty members, which added to the excitement of the occasion.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by a group photograph. The celebration organized by the Cultural Club beautifully reflected the respect, gratitude, and strong bond shared between teachers and students, making Teachers’ Day a memorable occasion for the UIT community.
