The School of Applied and Life Sciences, in collaboration with the Quality Council of India (QCI), organized a one-day seminar on “Enhancing Laboratory Standards” on 8th September, 2026. The seminar aimed to create awareness about the importance of quality, accuracy, safety, and standardization in laboratory practices. The event brought together students, faculty members, researchers, and laboratory professionals to discuss the significance of maintaining high standards in laboratory operations. The sessions highlighted the role of standardized procedures, proper documentation, equipment calibration, quality control, and laboratory safety in ensuring reliable and accurate results.
The expert from the Quality Council of India; Mr. Ashok Kumar, shared valuable insights into quality management systems and the importance of adhering to recognized laboratory standards. He also emphasized continuous improvement, competency development, and responsible laboratory practices. The event was graced by presence of Dr. Ajay Singh, Director (SALS), Dr. Nishesh Sharma, Dr. Shivam Pandey and other faculty members.
The seminar provided participants with an opportunity to understand how quality standards contribute to credible research, effective testing, and better outcomes in applied and life sciences.
