UIM Successfully Concludes Six-Day Faculty Development Programme on Capstone Board Room Business Simulation with CESIM

The Uttaranchal Institute of Management (UIM), Uttaranchal University, successfully concluded its six-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Capstone Board Room Business Simulation” in collaboration with CESIM, held from 20th to 25th July 2026. The programme was designed to enhance faculty competencies in simulation-based teaching and equip educators with innovative pedagogical approaches that bridge classroom learning with real-world business challenges.


The programme commenced with a welcome address by Prof. (Dr.Tilottama Singh, Head, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, who emphasized the growing significance of experiential learning in management education and encouraged faculty members to embrace innovative teaching practices. Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Director, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, in his inaugural address, highlighted the transformative role of business simulation platforms in nurturing strategic thinking, analytical abilities, leadership, and collaborative decision-making among future management professionals.


The technical sessions were conducted by Mr. Rohan Jugran, Head – Customer Success, CESIM, who provided comprehensive hands-on training on the Capstone Board Room Business Simulation platform. Throughout the six-day programme, participants actively engaged in simulation exercises covering strategic management, finance, marketing, operations, and competitive business environments. Faculty members experienced realistic business scenarios, enabling them to understand the complexities of organizational decision-making while exploring effective ways to integrate simulation-based learning into management education.


The programme concluded with an engaging valedictory session, where participants shared their experiences and appreciated the practical insights gained through the immersive learning process. They expressed confidence in incorporating simulation-driven methodologies into their teaching practices to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.


The formal Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. Anil Singh Chauhan, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the university leadership, the resource person, CESIM, and all participating faculty members for their enthusiastic involvement and valuable contributions to the successful conduct of the programme.
