The Department of Aerospace, Mechanical and Civil Engineering successfully organized a One Week Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Multi-Physics Simulation & Design Optimization Using ANSYS” from 16th July to 22nd July 2026. The program was coordinated by Mr. Divij Arora and Mr. Abhishek Chnad Thakuri, faculty members of the Aerospace Engineering Department. The inaugural ceremony was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Sumit Chaudhary, Director, UIT, who formally inaugurated the program and addressed the gathering.

The FDP was designed to enhance the technical knowledge and practical skills of faculty members, researchers, and academicians in the field of computational engineering, simulation, and design optimization using the ANSYS software platform. Throughout the program, participants were introduced to advanced concepts of multi-physics simulation, finite element analysis (FEA), structural analysis, thermal analysis, fluid flow simulation, coupled-field analysis, and optimization techniques.

The resource sessions combined theoretical concepts with extensive hands-on training, enabling participants to gain practical experience in solving real-world engineering problems using ANSYS. The interactive learning environment encouraged discussions on simulation-driven product development, engineering design validation, and industry-oriented applications across aerospace, mechanical, and civil engineering domains.

The Department extends its sincere appreciation to Mr. Divij Arora and Mr. Abhishek Chnad Thakuri for their dedicated efforts in organizing the program and contributing towards enhancing the technical competencies of faculty members. The successful conduct of this FDP reflects the department's commitment to promoting continuous professional development, advanced engineering education, and industry-relevant skill enhancement.
