The Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC), Uttaranchal University, successfully organized Guru-DAKSHTA – Six-Day Faculty Induction (FIP) 2026–27 from 15th to 22nd July 2026 to orient newly appointed faculty members with the university's academic vision and professional culture. The programme commenced on 15th July with the joining of new faculty members, followed by an interactive HR session.
On 16th the inaugural session was graced by the Hon'ble President, Shri Jitender Joshi; Hon'ble Vice President, Ms. Ankita Joshi; Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dharam Buddhi; and Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Rajesh Bahuguna, who inspired the newly inducted faculty members with their vision for quality education, innovation, and academic leadership. During the ceremony, Director SALS ,Prof. Ajay Singh presented a sapling to the dignitaries.
On 17th July, Prof. Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice Chancellor, delivered an insightful session on Framework of Academic Policies and Procedures. Prof. Rajesh Singh spoke on Research and Multidisciplinary Collaboration, while Prof. (Dr.) Anita Gehlot discussed Innovation, Start-up and Ecosystem.
The sessions on 20th July featured Mr. Arun Singh Thakur, on University Library & Learning Resources, followed by Dr. Rakesh Semwal, who elaborated on Examination System.
On 21st July, Er. R. Deorari, Director, IQAC, highlighted Faculty Excellence and Quality Culture. Representatives from Cyborg IT Services conducted a session on E-Governance Modules, Outcome-Based Education (OBE), and ERP, followed by Mr. Upender Dabral, on IT Infrastructure & Facilities.
The programme concluded on 22nd July with Dr. Amit Bhatt delivering a session on Orientation to Campus Facilities followed by the Valedictory Session, marking the successful completion of Guru-DAKSHTA 2026–27. The programme was hosted by Dr. Shipra Shah, Coordinator, HRDC, Uttaranchal University, who also delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to all dignitaries, resource persons, faculty members, and organizers for their valuable contributions.
