The Valedictory Ceremony of the “Digital Empowerment: Computer Fundamentals Training Program” was organized on 15th May 2026 by the Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences in association with Shri Nityanand Swami Jan Seva Samiti at Uttaranchal University, Dehradun to celebrate the successful completion of the 30 hrs training program and to acknowledge the efforts of volunteers, participating schools, and students. The program was conducted with the aim of promoting digital literacy and computer awareness among school students.
A total of 486 students from eleven different schools participated in the training program and gained knowledge related to computer fundamentals and digital skills.
The event was graced by Uttarakhand Cabinet Minister -Honourable Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat Ji and Shri Khajan Dass Ji.
Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat Ji appreciated the remarkable initiative taken by Uttaranchal University and the organizing society towards promoting digital and vocational education for students, while also highlighting various educational support schemes and opportunities for youth in Uttarakhand.
Shri Khajan Dass Ji encouraged students to strengthen their digital skills and praised the organizers for their meaningful contribution towards student empowerment and societal development.
The valedictory ceremony was honored in the presence of Uttaranchal University- President Shri Jitender Joshi Ji, Vice President Ms. Ankita Joshi, Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Dharam Buddhi, ProVice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, Shri Nityanand Swami Jan Seva Samiti-President Dr. R.K Bakshi, Vice President Mrs. Jyostana Sharma, Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Sharma, Director-USCS, Mr. Vinayak Sharma Swami President JAI Youth Wing.
Certificates were also distributed to participants and volunteers during the successful conclusion of the ceremony.
