World Health Day was celebrated on 7 April 2026. The program was organized by B.Sc. Nursing 6th Semester students (Batch: 2023–2024) at Charba Sahaspur. The theme for the celebration was “Together for Health: Stand with Science.” The main objective of the program was to promote health awareness and encourage preventive healthcare practices among school children.

The program was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Midhu Kurian and guided by assistant professors Mr. Tushar and Ms. Isha. The event began with a brief introduction highlighting the importance of World Health Day and the relevance of this year’s theme, emphasizing the role of scientific knowledge and collective action in improving public health.

A health screening session was conducted for upper primary students. The screening included measurement of height, weight, and body mass index (BMI), along with basic developmental assessments related to motor skills and general physical health. This helped identify children who might require further medical attention.

To make the program interactive and engaging, nursing students performed a Nukkad Natak focusing on healthy lifestyle practices, hygiene, and disease prevention. An entertaining handwashing dance was also presented to demonstrate proper hand hygiene in a simple and memorable manner.

Health education sessions on balanced nutrition, personal hygiene, and healthy daily habits were also conducted. The program provided valuable practical exposure for nursing students in community health nursing and enhanced their skills in health assessment, communication, and education. The event concluded successfully with the support and cooperation of the school authorities and staff.
