Law College Dehradun successfully organized LCD MUN 7.0, a two-day Model United Nations conference on 24 & 25 April 2026, under the aegis of the Youth Parliament Society. The conference aimed to cultivate diplomacy, leadership, and critical thinking among students by providing them a platform to deliberate on pressing global and national issues. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various disciplines, all eager to enhance their understanding of international relations, public speaking, and negotiation. Through simulated committee sessions, delegates engaged in meaningful discussions, representing different countries and perspectives.
The conference commenced with a formal inaugural ceremony on 24 April, graced by Ashok Verma, Minister of State, Vice Chairman of Uttarakhand State Welfare Council, and Former Chairman of OBC Commission, as the Chief Guest along with Dr. Abhishek Joshi, Director, and Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean, Law College Dehradun. The guest, in his address, highlighted the importance of youth engagement in democratic processes and encouraged students to develop informed opinions and actively contribute to society. Following this, committee sessions began, where delegates engaged in constructive debates. The sessions reflected enthusiasm, intellectual engagement, and collaboration among participants.
The second day marked the presence of Bhagat Singh Koshyari as the chief guest. His address emphasized the role of youth in strengthening democratic values and encouraged students to take initiative in shaping a better future. Committee sessions continued with greater intensity, focusing on negotiation, drafting resolutions, and reaching consensus. Delegates demonstrated strong analytical and diplomatic skills throughout the proceedings.

The conference concluded with a closing ceremony, where outstanding delegates were recognized for their excellence in research, diplomacy, and leadership.
