An excursion tour to Manali was organized by the Department of Chemistry, School of Applied and Life Sciences, Uttaranchal University, from 24th to 26th April to provide students with practical exposure, recreational experience, and an opportunity to explore the natural and cultural heritage of Manali. The tour was conducted under the guidance of faculty members Dr. Shivam Pandey and Dr. Asima. More than 20 students from the Department of Chemistry went on the trip. The journey commenced with enthusiasm as the group traveled to Manali, where, on arrival, students were captivated by the scenic beauty of snow-covered mountains and green valleys. During the visit, several important tourist destinations were explored, including Hadimba Devi Temple, Solang Valley, Vashisht Temple, etc. Students also participated in adventure and recreational activities, which enhanced their confidence and teamwork skills. The tour proved to be highly informative and enjoyable. It enabled students to gain knowledge about the culture, traditions, and lifestyle of the local people while also strengthening coordination and interaction among participants. The tour was a successful and enriching experience that combined learning with recreation and provided students with valuable memories and practical exposure beyond the classroom environment. The students sincerely express their heartfelt gratitude and thanks to the Director of SALS, Prof. Ajay Singh, for organizing and supporting this wonderful excursion tour.
