The School of Applied and Life Sciences (SALS), Uttaranchal University, successfully celebrated the Global Women’s Breakfast (GWB) on 10 February 2026 in alignment with the global initiative of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry. The event was organised under the inspiring theme “Many Voices, One Science”, highlighting the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in strengthening the scientific community.

The programme brought together women faculty members, research scholars, and students in a warm and interactive networking environment. The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Ajay Singh, Director, SALS, who emphasised the significance of the Global Women’s Breakfast initiative in promoting gender equality and encouraging greater participation of women in science and research worldwide. He highlighted the need for collaborative efforts to create supportive academic spaces where women can excel and lead.
