A National Conference on Innovative Construction Machineries, Materials and Methods for Infrastructure Development (ICMMMID-2026) was successfully held on 9–10 February 2026 at Hotel Fairfield by Marriott, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The conference was organized by the Indian Society for Construction Materials and Structures (ISCMS) in association with the Uttaranchal Institute of Technology (UIT), Uttaranchal University, and the Women Institute of Technology (WIT), Dehradun, with the objective of providing a common platform for researchers, academicians, and industry professionals to exchange ideas in the field of infrastructure development. The conference was convened by Dr. Ashok Ahuja, retired Professor from IIT Roorkee.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Chandra Mohan Pandey, retired Chief Engineer, Uttarakhand Public Works Department (PWD) and Technical Advisor to the Government of Uttarakhand, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of adopting construction technologies and sustainable practices. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Sumit Chaudhary, Director, UIT, and Dr. Gaurav Thakur, Head of the Department, Civil Engineering. Faculty members from the Civil Engineering Department, including Mr. Vinod Balmiki, Mr. Loknath Kumar, and Dr. Samrity Jalota, actively participated in the conference.
The conference featured keynote speakers, namely Dr. N. K. Samadhiya, Dr. Shantanu Sarkar, and Dr. Abhishek Mittal, who delivered lectures on construction machineries, materials, and methods. Many participants presented research papers during technical sessions, promoting discussions and knowledge sharing effectively.
