The seven-day Faculty Development Programme on “Interdisciplinary Pedagogy for Skill Development, Research, and Academic Excellence: Teaching–Learning Practices in Higher Education” was conducted from 6th to 13th January, 2026, with the aim of strengthening faculty competencies in innovative pedagogy, research integration, and academic leadership.
Day 1 featured session by Dr. Anubhuti Dhyani, who introduced participants to interdisciplinary pedagogy, learner-centered teaching, and integrated knowledge systems in higher education. Day 2 was led by Prof. (Dr.) Reeta Rautela, focusing on research-integrated teaching, skill development, and experiential learning approaches aligned with Outcome-Based Education. On Day 3, Prof. (Dr.) K.P. Singh guided participants through themes of academic leadership, quality enhancement, ethical research practices, and institutional transformation.
Day 4’s session was conducted by Dr. Varsha Gupta, emphasizing ICT-enabled teaching, digital pedagogy, and research-oriented classroom practices. Day 5 was delivered by Dr. Varun Dixit, who addressed curriculum innovation under NEP 2020, entrepreneurship, and value-based education. On Day 6, Mr. Pradeep Kumar Verma discussed institutional best practices, implementation strategies, faculty leadership, and sustainable academic reforms.
The final day featured Dr. Neha Anand, who synthesized the programme’s learning outcomes and shared advanced perspectives on interdisciplinary pedagogy and the future of higher education. The valedictory session celebrated participant engagement and reinforced the role of faculty as lifelong learners, innovators, and academic leaders. Overall, the FDP served as a valuable platform for professional growth and institutional capacity building. The programme was successfully coordinated by Ms. Mahika Ajaideep, Assistant Professor, SLA.
