School of Applied and Life Sciences (SALS), Uttaranchal University, and National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Uttaranchal University, successfully celebrated National Youth Day 2026 on 12th January 2026 by organising an inspiring seminar programme at the university campus. The event was conducted to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and to motivate young minds towards leadership, self-discipline, and nation-building. The seminar focused on empowering students with the values of responsibility, character building, and service to society, highlighting the vital role of youth in shaping a progressive and strong nation. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, making the occasion meaningful and engaging. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Ajay Singh, Director of SALS, who inspired the audience through his insightful thoughts on youth empowerment, moral strength, and the importance of dedication towards social and national development. The celebration was successfully organised under the guidance of Dr. V.K. Srivastava and Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma, NSS Programme Officers of Uttaranchal University, whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth execution of the programme. Overall, the National Youth Day seminar served as a valuable platform to encourage the spirit of service, motivation, and positive action among the youth community at Uttaranchal University.
