The Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), under the aegis of Uttaranchal University, successfully organized an Expert Talk on the topic “Human Relevant Methods in Drug Development and Safety Testing: Where We Are & What’s Next” on 5th December 2025 at the UIPS Seminar Hall. The session was delivered by Dr. Rohit Bisht, Scientist (Regulatory Testing), PETA India, who is known for his extensive work in promoting advanced and ethical scientific methodologies.
The event commenced with a welcome address followed by the felicitation of the distinguished speaker. Dr. Rohit Bisht emphasized the growing global transition toward human-relevant, non-animal testing methods, including organ-on-chip systems, in vitro testing platforms, computational toxicology, and evidence-based regulatory frameworks.
