The Uttaranchal School of Hotel and Hospitality Management (USHHM) ushered in the festive spirit with its vibrant, much-awaited annual Cake Mixing Ceremony, celebrated this year under the theme “Mix, Bake & Celebrate 2025” on December 8, 2025.
The event brought together students, faculty, and staff in a lively showcase of tradition, creativity, and the warm spirit of hospitality. As a cherished prelude to Christmas and New Year celebrations, the ceremony featured the joyful mixing of assorted dried fruits, nuts, spices, and aromatic blends—marking the first step toward crafting the traditional Christmas fruitcake.
Beyond its festive charm, the ceremony offered meaningful experiential learning. Students engaged in hands-on culinary practice, strengthening professional skills and teamwork—an initiative aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG-4: Quality Education), emphasizing inclusive and skill-enhancing environments.
The celebration was graced by esteemed dignitaries: Shri Jitender Joshi, President; Ms. Ankita Joshi, Vice-President; and Dr. Manish Badoni, Director of USHHM.
