Uttaranchal University takes honor and pride in hosting Smt. Vijaya Rahatkar, Chairperson, National Commission for Women, on 30 October 2025, who felicitated Shri Jitendra Joshi for his outstanding contribution to social welfare and women’s empowerment at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium. The event was organized to recognize individuals who have demonstrated exemplary commitment towards advancing gender equality and community development.
In her address, Smt. Vijaya Rahatkar commended Shri Joshi’s consistent efforts in promoting women’s rights, supporting education for the underprivileged, and championing initiatives that create safer and more inclusive communities. Expressing his gratitude, Shri Jitendra Joshi reaffirmed his commitment to continue working for social upliftment and empowering women through education, skill training, and legal awareness programs. The ceremony also witnessed the participation of NCW officials and representatives from various organizations who lauded his inspiring leadership and grassroots initiatives.
