The Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Uttaranchal University, Dehradun, organized a Collage Making/Drawing Competition on Zero Emission Day, 22nd September 2025, under the slogan “Give Our Planet One Day Off a Year.” The event aimed to promote awareness about emission reduction, eco-friendly practices, and environmental protection, while encouraging students to creatively express their ideas for a sustainable future.
The competition was conducted in the Classroom of UIPS, under the supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Vikash Jakhmola, Director, UIPS, with coordination by Ms. Pallavi Pandey. Students enthusiastically participated by preparing drawings and collages on sheets, illustrating their innovative ideas and messages on themes such as reducing emissions, conserving energy, protecting nature, and adopting sustainable lifestyles.
The entries were evaluated by faculty judges on parameters including creativity, originality, relevance to the theme, and clarity of environmental message. This initiative not only provided a platform for students to showcase their artistic skills and environmental awareness but also inspired them to think critically about sustainable solutions. It reflected UIPS’s commitment to fostering eco-conscious values and promoting responsibility towards a greener planet.
