Department of Mechanical Engineering, Uttaranchal Institute of Technology, Uttaranchal University celebrated Vishwakarma Puja on 17 September 2025. According to Hindu culture Lord Vishwakarma is described as the divine Engineer. As a mark of reverence, the Lord Vishwakarma is not only worshiped by the engineering community but also by all other professionals.
Lord Vishwakarma is the builder of the entire Gods and the designer of all celestial vehicles and weapons. The occasion was celebrated with a Puja performed by, Dean UIT Prof (Dr) Sumit Chaudhary and Head of Mechanical Department, Dr Jaspreet Heera in the University workshop along with Heads of other departments, faculty members, technical staff and students. Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice-Chancellor, congratulated the students, faculty members and staff members on this auspicious occasion. it’s the time for academic staff and students to devote themselves to the cause of technological growth and find heavenly inspiration for coming up with new items.
Shri Jitender Joshi, Chancellor extended his heartiest greetings to the student, faculty members and staff members. In addition, he said in his message that Lord Vishwakarma bestows blessings on people who revere their instruments and are devoted to their profession. The event ended with the distribution of Prasad and Sweets to the attendees.
