On the occasion of World Tourism Day 2025, the cultural club Jhankar of Uttaranchal School of Hotel & Hospitality Management (USHHM) proudly organized Safar-e-Sanskrit: Journey of Culture, embracing the theme “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation.” On 26 September,2025. The event began with lamp lighting and a welcome dance, setting a graceful tone for the celebrations.
The event showcased the vibrant cultural heritage of Uttarakhand through mesmerizing traditional dances including Garhwali, Kumauni, and Nepali performances. Adding further excitement, a lively Bhojpuri dance thrilled the audience, highlighting India’s cultural diversity.
The celebration was honoured by the presence of distinguished guests, Mr. Jitendra Joshi, President, Ms. Ankita Joshi, Vice President, Prof. (Dr.) Dharam Budhi, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Abhishek Joshi, Director of Student Affairs & IT Services
Vice President Ms. Ankita Joshi delivered an inspiring speech, urging students to preserve cultural roots and promote sustainable tourism. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Manish Badoni, Director of USHHM, who also awarded certificates to all participants and coordinators.
The successful execution of the program was made possible under the leadership of Mr. Hitendra Singh Chauhan, General Secretary of Jhankar (the Cultural Club), along with the dedicated efforts of Event Coordinators Mr. Vijay Kumar Pant, Mr. Abhishek Negi, and Ms. Niha Minocha.
This event not only promoted cultural awareness but also encouraged students to think globally and act locally key values in hospitality and tourism. USHHM continues to foster cultural pride and sustainability through such meaningful initiatives.
