A good teacher is like a candle; it consumes itself to light the way for others.
Law College Dehradun celebrated Teacher’s Day on September 5, 2025, under the aegis of the Cultural Society. The program was graced by the presence of Prof. Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Uttaranchal University and Dean, Law College Dehradun; Dr. Radhey Shyam Jha, Head of Department; Dr. Prena Kainthola, Chairperson, Cultural Society; Faculty Advisors Mr. Ashok Dobhal and Ms. Nandini Majumdar; other esteemed faculty members; General Secretary, Cultural Society Ms. Rijul Goel; office bearers, executives, members of the society; and all the students of Law College Dehradun.
The program commenced with a warm welcome note by the anchors, Mr. Sohum Dubey, Ms. Sheikh Anabia, and Ms. Shriyanshi Dubey, who further highlighted the importance of Teacher’s Day. In his address, Prof. Rajesh Bahuguna expressed his gratitude and pride, congratulating the entire team of the Cultural Society for honoring the guiding lights of the college.
The cultural events began with a soulful performance by the band TAPASSV, which left the audience mesmerized. The theme of the celebration was to honor the regional roots of the teachers, and a total of seven dance performances depicted the cultural diversity and inclusivity of Law College Dehradun. The first presentation showcased the vibrant traditions of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar, followed by an energetic Bhangra performance celebrating Punjab. This was succeeded by high-spirited Haryanvi performers, and then by Rajasthani, South Indian, and Bengali dance performances, each reflecting the spirit of unity in diversity.
The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Rijul Goel. She expressed her deep gratitude to the Dean, HOD, Chairperson, Faculty Advisors, faculty members, office bearers, and all members of the Cultural Society for the successful planning, management, and execution of the Teacher’s Day celebration.
