A Yoga Workshop was organised for the freshers of Uttaranchal University to promote health, mindfulness, and overall well-being among students. The session was conducted by Mrs Vimmi Chauhan, an experienced Yoga Instructor, on 25 August 2025. The workshop began with a warm welcome for Mrs Chauhan, followed by an introductory session highlighting the importance of yoga in maintaining a healthy body and a peaceful mind, especially for students facing academic and personal challenges. 

During the session, Mrs Chauhan guided the participants through a series of simple yet effective yoga asanas, pranayama techniques, and relaxation practices. She emphasised the role of yoga in improving concentration, reducing stress, and enhancing physical fitness. The students actively participated in the exercises, showing enthusiasm and interest throughout the session. The workshop concluded with a short meditation practice, leaving the students refreshed and energised. 

The freshers expressed their gratitude for this enriching experience and shared that such sessions would help them strike a balance between academics and personal well-being. Overall, the Yoga Workshop proved to be highly beneficial and inspiring, creating awareness among students about the importance of incorporating yoga into their daily lives.
