The programme was graced by the Hon’ble President, Shri Jitender Joshi; Hon’ble Vice-President, Ms. Ankita Joshi; Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Dharam Buddhi; Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna; Joint Registrar & Director, UCHS, Prof. (Dr.) Kartikey; and the Principal, UCHS. A series of informative and engaging academic, cultural, and recreational activities were conducted during the induction.
The programme commenced with the reporting of students, followed by a welcome address by the Principal, an introduction to the faculty, and a briefing on academic programmes. In the afternoon, students toured the campus, including laboratories and the hospital, to familiarize themselves with the available facilities.
Highlights of the Programme
Day 1: The Central Level Induction Event was held at the Swami Vivekanand Auditorium, where senior students performed Ganpati Vandana and a Nepali dance, fostering inclusivity and cultural unity. The afternoon featured a Mentor–Mentee Orientation, which concluded with “Rising Star: Time to Rise and Shine”, a platform for showcasing student talents.
Day 2: The day comprised academic classes, followed by sessions on ERP usage and an introduction to the Central Library, with a dedicated focus on digital learning resources.
Day 3: Academic classes were held in the morning, followed by an interactive session on Research and Innovation. The day concluded with engaging sports activities.
Day 4: Regular classes continued, supplemented by a briefing from the Exam Cell and a session on Personality Development and Well-being.
Day 5: Students visited Rashtrapati Tapovan, attended a Career Resource Centre session titled “Inspire to Aspire”, and enjoyed the second round of the Rising Star event.
Day 6: The schedule included academic classes, an Anti-Ragging compliance awareness session, social media orientation, and a discourse on Human Values and Ethics.
Day 7: After the regular classes, Prof. (Dr.) R.S. Bisht, Additional Director of Medical Education, Uttarakhand, and Medical Superintendent of Government Doon Medical College & Hospital, delivered a guest lecture. The programme concluded with a feedback session, marking the successful completion of Diksharambh-2025.
