Celebrating the spirit of talent and fresh beginnings, the Sanskriti Club of Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences (USCS), Uttaranchal University, successfully organised a vibrant and engaging event, “USCS Got Talent 2025”, on 22 August 2025, exclusively for fresher students. The event aimed to promote creativity and cultural expression while encouraging the new batch to actively participate in extracurricular activities from the outset of their academic journey.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the Shri Jitendra Joshi, Hon’ble President; Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice Chancellor; Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma, Director, USCS; and Dr. Sameer Sharma, HoD.
The programme featured four categories—dancing, singing, poster-making, and reel-making. After auditions held on 21 August 2025, the finalists showcased their talents in the grand competition on 22 August before a panel of judges and an enthusiastic audience.
In the dance competition, ten finalists performed, with Lakshay emerging as the winner and Vaishnavi as runner-up. In singing, Abhay secured first place, while Arpit Negi was the runner-up. In the reel-making category, the winning team comprised Kanika Pundir, Kirti Gaur, Mahek Rana, Jiya Rana, Khushi Sharma, and Krishna Sharma. In the poster-making competition, Shreya Prasad secured the first position, while Anushka Rawat was declared runner-up.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Mr Ajay Singh Rawat, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty, volunteers, participants, and audience for making USCS Got Talent 2025 a resounding success. The event was efficiently coordinated by Mr Ajay Singh Rawat, Ms Manisha Saini, and Ms Manisha Khanduja, with the support of Mr Aagman Kaparwan, Mr Deepak Pathak, Ms Vaibhavi Kaushik, and Ms Neha Bhatt, along with the student volunteers.
