On 7 August 2025, the School of Liberal Arts warmly welcomed its new batch of students with enthusiasm, guidance, and interaction. The day marked the beginning of their academic journey as students were introduced to the vibrant environment of the school. A central-level welcome ceremony in the university auditorium was graced by eminent dignitaries: Shri Jitendra Joshi, President; Ms Ankita Joshi, Vice-President; Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice-Chancellor; and Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Uttaranchal University. Their words of wisdom inspired students to pursue academic excellence at Uttaranchal University.
During the one-week induction programme, an Anti-Ragging Awareness session was conducted to promote a safe and inclusive campus environment. The students were informed about various academic verticals, including CRC, DRI, examination cell, mentor-mentee, discipline committee, clubs and cells, library, NSS and NCC, MOOC, and sports.
The Psychological Counselling Cell of the School organised a mental health awareness event titled “Feel to Heal,” exclusively for first-year students. The event aimed to familiarise students with the importance of emotional well-being and equip them with healthy coping strategies as they transition into university life. The Cultural Club hosted its much-awaited annual talent showcase, “Rising Star 2025: Time to Rise and Shine,” providing an exuberant platform for students to display their creativity and passion across a spectrum of artistic expressions.
Students also visited Rashtrapati Niketan to understand the historical, cultural, and architectural significance of the presidential estate, fostering experiential learning beyond the classroom. On the final day, a feedback session was conducted to evaluate the programme’s effectiveness and the students’ understanding. The Deeksharambh 2025 concluded on a positive note, setting the tone for an engaging and transformative learning experience ahead.
