Law College Dehradun organized “Deeksharambh - Orientation & Induction” program from 7 August to 21 August 2025, where the new students were extended a warm welcome by the management along with the faculty members of Law College Dehradun. The orientation began with a brief inaugural ceremony and felicitation of the guest. The event intended for a comprehensive introduction of the academic structures, resources, and the culture of the University.
Prof. Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro VC and Dean rendered his first Official address for the batch 2025-30 on 11 August 2025 and proudly introduced the esteemed faculty members and briefed on the system of the college. He inspired the students to aspire and work persistently to explore the excellence within and achieve their goals. His discourse shed light on the various avenues of opportunities, importance of discipline and the need for a deliberate planning.
In pursuance, various Societies of the college conducted their orientation and explained the induction process and their functioning. Following this the students had interaction with the Alumni, who suggested to make a strategical road map from the very first day. Sessions on Holistic Development through Indian Knowledge System was organized where an alumnus of IIT Roorkee motivated the freshers and emphasized the importance of ancient Indian literature and its timeless relevance in shaping character and nurturing intellectual growth. Library committee during their session briefed on various online databases available and procedure to access it while the ERP team explained the ERP management system of the University, its functionality, notifications, submission of assignments etc.
The entire orientation program paved way for the new students to get familiar and assimilate in the new environment, inculcate in them the ethos and culture of the institution, enabling them build lasting bonds and prepare themselves for a bigger purpose.
